Matthew 5:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
As a kingdom person wearing the righteousness of God we should be peacemakers
Matthew 5:9 – We should be ministers of reconciliation because God reconciled our differences with him bu sending Jesus on the cross.
Matthew 5:10 – As a christian we are persecuted just as Christ was persecuted. We all live on a fallen world. Just as the disciples were persecuted for the cause of Christ, we will also be persecuted.
